PROFILE

The scientific journal, Annals of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Karachi Medical and Dental College is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal being published for over 20 years, recognized by PMDC, HEC (Y-Category) and cited on Emerging Sources Citation Index (Thomson Reuters), IMEMR, Pakmedinet. The Editor-in-Chief is a member of World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Eastern Mediterranean Association of Medical Editors (EMAME), and Pakistan Association of Medical Editors (PAME).

ARTICLE PROCESSING:

To enhance the knowledge that our journal imparts, we have introduced a pictorial quiz consisting of a photograph of a clinical condition along with a scenario followed by questions based on it, the key to which will be provided in the issue published.

Dr. Maqbool H. Jafary Training Scholarship :
From the forum of Pakistan Association of Medical Editors (PAME) and after fulfilling the requirements Dr Mehwash Kashif, Assistant Editor of the Annals of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Karachi Medical and Dental College was privileged to be the first recipient of Dr. Maqbool H. Jafary training scholarship of medical journalism in December 2016. During this 6 days training program Dr. Kashif has learned various aspects of medical journal publishing. Especially, generation of DOI numbers and a visit to printing press. In short it was a memorable experience.
