Clinical improvement was measured on an acceptable global assessment scale. 95% clearances were noted in 16 weeks, the drug was continued till 24 weeks as a maintenance therapy, to prevent relapses. Chelitis, pruritus and desquamation of skin were the most common clinical side effects. No laboratory abnormalities were noted at the start or end of therapy.
