ASSESSMENT OF NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCY AMONG YOUNG GIRLS: RESULTS OF A COMPARATIVE CROSS SECTIONAL STUDY

ABSTRACT
Objective: 1. To determine the factors responsible for primary nutritional deficiency and find out the percentage of anemia and Vitamin A deficiency in poor and well off communities. 2. To find out the ratio between well-nourished and undernourished children 3. To find out the percentage of anemia and vitamin A deficiency.
Design: The research design include young girls of 512 years with comparative cross-sectional study. Subject: The research study was done on poor community settled in Quaid-e-Azam colony and well-off community settled in Federal B Area Block 21. Method: The method chosen for data collection was interview of the mothers and girls using a questionnaire containing close-ended and open-ended questions with a portion for clinical examination. |
